Pilot has developed a technique which exploits the partnership between robotic handling and automated hard metal spraying, resulting in a locking coupling with performance that approaches conventional matrix ring-set products.

The robotic technology makes it possible to reliably and repetitively produce more elaborate wear pad designs than could be produced using normal manual metal spraying techniques. As a result, an accurately gauged product with efficient flushing and the superior support and stability of helical wear pads can be supplied at an attractive cost.
