TSP Bits

The TSP bit is a natural extension of the surface set concept. Cutting elements are set on the surface allowing it to take a large "bite" out of the formation offering very high penetration rates. However, the cutting element exposure coupled with the relative brittleness of the TSP matrix makes these products vulnerable to breakage in hard ground; they are best suited to softer formations where they are the most productive tool available.
